The BSA/AML Analyst position helps support the Bank’s efforts to combat illicit financial activity and maintain compliance with all regulatory and state rules and regulations. Risk Management team members have a shared ambition to assist in the implementation and administration of various programs including the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering & Countering the Finance of Terrorism, Office of Foreign Assets & Control (OFAC), FinCEN Special Measures, Compliance & Risk Management Program(s) through various assignments supporting fraud prevention & detection, BSA compliance, and risk mitigation efforts. Under direct supervision, this position will focus on producing high quality, detailed work based on the established standards, guidelines, and procedures of Plumas Bank. This position performs quality reviews using standard regulatory guidance to ensure the Bank’s compliance efforts are maintained daily. Precise and consistent work output is essential, requiring patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time. This position requires an individual to develop a thorough understanding of the job and demonstrate consistent competence in the tasks. This position is designed to develop a valued technical expert who can deliver quality work on a consistent basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assist in the administration of the Bank’s automated BSA/AML/CFT & OFAC system Verafin, research and resolve alerts, conduct investigations and manage comprehensive cases within the system.
- Participate in collaborative team discussions involving bank-related BSA/AML/CFT & OFAC investigations.
- Daily review and submission of Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) to Treasury.
- Responsible for timely and accurate filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to FinCEN and other federal agencies.
- Ensure compliance with OFAC screening, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), FinCEN 314 and other special measures, including timely response to federal requests for AML/CFT information.
- Perform initial and annual review of CTR exemptions.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of all high-risk accounts, including initial and on-going enhanced due diligence.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the Verafin application and provide recommendations for system improvements or process efficiencies.
- Maintain and apply sufficient knowledge of regulatory compliance which includes completion of both online and in-person training with passing scores.
- Assist with BSA/AML/CFT & OFAC related training for front-line employees.
- Ensure the Bank’s operational processes are compliant with BSA/AML/CFT & OFAC including but not limited to: review of Customer Due Diligence including Beneficial Ownership, Customer Information Program (CIP), Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation.
- Complete monthly BSA/AML/CFT & OFAC process certifications.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Knowledge of general office practices and personal computer operations including Word processing, spreadsheet and email software programs.
